Your missions:

Reporting to the Systems Service Delivery Leader and within the Corporate IT team, the Systems Architect is responsible for:

  • Developing a 3 to 5 years strategy for the IT infrastructure product/service specialty areas and working through roadmap planning to ensure product/service life cycle components are replaced/renewed regularly thus ensuring IT infrastructure health is sustained.
  • Developing target and solution architecture for IT Systems & Hosting infrastructure product/service specialty areas, such as for server rooms, data centers, server virtualization, storage bays, hosting services including cloud-based services from MS Azure.
  • Supporting IT solution construction, implementation, and system integration in IT Systems & Hosting infrastructure product/service specialty areas; and acting as a project manager in the initial stages of the project management process, from ideation stage until end of feasibility stage.
  • Playing an important role in the support structure as part of the escalation process, delivering product/service-related expertise.

Key missions:

  • Leading and being accountable for the success of IT Systems & Hosting infrastructure service/product development projects.
  • Making consistent use of IT architecture development techniques such as TOGAF, and developing target architecture, solution architecture for priority infrastructure services and/or products; including requirements collection.
  • Making consistent use of project management techniques such as initializing and planning projects, developing project cost structure, tracking and reporting project deliverables, managing risk, managing contracts, and applying project management processes and tools.
  • Developing a 3-to-5-year long Systems & Hosting infrastructure product/service strategy, ensuring that the necessary architecture requirements are developed in a timely manner in order to execute the Systems & Hosting strategy through yearly Operating Plans that are properly budgeted/funded.
  • Participating in the Architecture Review Board/Design Authority to ensure all service/product development work takes place in an aligned and coordinated way that matches overall IT enterprise strategy and architecture.
  • Participating in IT change programs at regional/global levels, in order that maximum business benefits can be achieved.
  • Playing an important role in the support structure as part of the escalation process, delivering product/service-related expertise for the timely resolution of incidents and problems.
  • May take part in the deployment of regionally and globally developed solutions, and responsible for operational excellence of the product/service developed.
  • Ensuring high client satisfaction for projects/engagements executed.
  • Interacting with IT Operations, IT Function staff/manager, Purchasing/Procurement, Legal, key subcontractors and/or with vendors during all the life cycle phases of the network solutions.
  • Providing technical advice/guidance to the project teams, Service Delivery and Service Desk & Monitoring groups.

Your profile:

  • Bac+5, Engineering or related IT college/university degree. With 10 to 12 years of IT Network infrastructure experience, with up to 6 to 8 years of which was as the Systems Architect.
  • Systems & Hosting domain specialty including DELL/HP servers, Windows OS, Active Directory, Oracle DB, virtualization, Azure services, integrations aspects related to ETL/API.
  • RFP experience including SLA development, contract development, review and approval.
  • Vendor performance management including effective governance & operational & management escalation with experience in managed services (remote server management).
  • Ability to work across multiple groups and geographies and cultures to solve problems thus minimizing service level risk.
  • Leadership skills in building consensus in managing remote teams and resolving conflicts and delivering effective results.
  • Deep problem resolution and root cause analysis skills.
  • Architecture development methodology experience or qualification + Project Management skills or certification.
  • Experience in DELL/HP servers, Windows OS, Active Directory, Oracle/SQL DB, VmWare virtualization, JDE hosting, Azure services, integrations aspects related to ETL/API.
  • ITIL Foundation Level Certification + Architecture Development Methodology (TOGAF).

Key competencies requirement:

Functional:
- In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure Service Strategy and Service Design, including good understanding on IT Service Delivery, including articulating the desired future state, understanding the current state, identifying the gaps between the two states and developing approaches to close these gaps in an effective and structured manner.
- Has in-depth technical understanding of IT Systems & Hosting infrastructure products and services including cyber-security related area(s).
- Good understanding on how key IT infrastructure components integrate and work together to ensure downstream quality during the end-to-end product/service development and deployment including how key operational aspects are constructed for reliability, resiliency and redundancy.
- Experienced in appropriate architecture development methodologies, as well as in project management disciplines.

Managerial:
- Effective Stakeholder and Relationship Management through effective communications, including fluency in English. French is a plus.
- Excellence in on-time, in-budget project delivery on scope agreed including conflict resolution, risk/issue management, management escalation and effective compliance to governance structure.

Leadership:
- Clearly articulates, and formally reports potential benefits from both structural and incremental change. Encourages and motivates colleagues to share creative ideas and learn from mistakes and failures.
