Job Description
Bouygues Energies & Services has an exciting opportunity available for a Care & Maintenance Technician to be based between our Bristol office in Bradley Stoke and the Hinkley Point C site in Bridgwater.
We have been awarded a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) new-build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in working on this incredibly unique and technically challenging project.
Job Purpose:
Execute the Care and maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets.
Plan and coordinate the C&M activities on all storage locations and HPC site.
Produce C&M report on executed work as per plan and procedures.
Produce C&M asset management plans and procedures according to supplier specification.
Coordinate and supervise site construction activities at HPC (When required).
The Role:
Support the C&M Deputy Manager in the execution of Care and Maintenance activities on stored and installed UK5211 assets according to developed C&M plans and procedures.
Responsible for producing C&M reports based on executed work and submitting on a monthly basis.
Support the line management in developing and maintaining up-to-date site/assets management tools and execution documentation (C&M database, RAMS, plans, procedures…).
Coordinating and supervising Project site operations execution (including Care and Maintenance activities). Interface with Customer on site matters and working rules.
Gain all required competence & H&S certificates and HPC site tickets. Act as Incident Controllers, Permit Holder for identified Site activities.
Provide inputs to Management to create a detailed erection/installation strategy and plan.
Liaise with near-site ware-housing and prefab shop as needed.
Ensure that the Sub-Contractors Health and Safety plan is followed with respect to NNB operational requirements in safety standards and the master construction phase plan.
Manage the sub-contracted installation teams for execution of activities.
Ensure proper quality control processes are followed as per the standards for Site Activities (procedure adherence, proper installation report such as FUD).
Provide regular update reports and inputs to Management for C&M progress and installation KPIs.
Participate in Site weekly/daily meetings as needed.
Promote and develop the site Nuclear Safety Culture.
The person will ideally have:
Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and practical experience.
Experience working in a construction or industrial site environment, e.g. Power, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water/ Wastewater.
Use of Microsoft IT systems. E.g. Microsoft, Office, SharePoint.
