Coordinator of Catholic Religious Education Location: Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy Worksite: On-site Position: Part-time Duties: Manage the day-to-day operation of the religious education program. Assist the Roman Catholic Priest in delivering a comprehensive religious education program from Pre-K to High School. Advise on resources for religious education (books, videos, etc.). Maintain statistical program data and provide it after each event. Attend weekly staff meetings and meet with the Roman Catholic Priest. Assist in providing and coordinating a Roman Catholic Youth Group. Oversee the recruitment and management of volunteers for the religious education program. Coordinate special events and maintain an inventory of curriculum and supplies. Identify and report maintenance issues for CCD and other religious education events. Assist with an annual Catholic Kids’ Camp and a Nativity Play each Advent. Open and secure facilities before and after CCD classes. Report safety hazards and keep supply cabinets in order. Assist with food purchases and preparing an annual CCD calendar. Requirements: Legal status to reside and work in Italy. Professional abilities and human relations skills to manage a religious program. Current AMS Catechist certificate or ability to obtain one. Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of documented experience with religious programs. Knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrines and Religious Education materials. J-18808-Ljbffr
