Key Responsibilities
In this role you will plan, co-ordinate and deliver technical ECC training and development requirements for the control room and technical office. Be there to advise on technical needs and create training plans, coordinating the control room rota ensuring continuity of desk resilience and competencies are adhered to. You will use your judgment to improve management of existing training and development systems and be responsible in identifying and delivering system improvements.
Coordinating a process that ensures all ECC engineering training and assessment materials are updated in a timely fashion taking account of changes in regulations, technical and operational policies procedures and processes. In addition to any key safety issues identified via IMS investigations.
Create and advise on technical needs and training plans, coordinating the control room rota ensuring continuity of desk resilience and competencies.
· Support robust compliance reporting and key performance indicators that accurately report progress and highlights compliance risks.
· Champion for identifying improved ways of working.
· Be inquisitive with an interest in developing existing skill set and learning new skills.
· Support building and develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
· Support ECC Technical Office activities including team resilience in key technical business activities.
· Support new starters to ECC through the induction process, delivering introductory technical and operational training materials.
· Manage direct report (s) who will support all outlined activities above.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this this role, it would be great if you were Educated to A Level/HNC/Degree level and hold Learning and Development based qualifications. In addition, hold GCSE C or above in STEM subjects.
· Experience of managing, coaching, mentoring and providing guidance and instruction to others
· Knowledge of Learning and/or Quality Management Systems e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP
· Wide business/technical knowledge gained through experience.
· An understanding of ECC, engineering and the gas industry.
· Competent to a high standard in the use of desktop packages such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook Visio and Teams with a proven track record in managing data and presentation.
· Experience of handling non-routine queries.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
You will also be required to undertake a National Security Vetting Check as part of the onboarding process.
