About the role


As an experienced Senior Business Change Consultant, you will play a key role of leading and shaping the people side of transformation with our clients across a range of sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience of providing strategic change, advising and designing business change solutions to ensure that transformational changes and new ways of working, are adopted to realise benefits. Strong delivery leadership skills are required, ensuring that change initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required delivery quality standards.

Commercial acumen is essential, with experience of business development, proposition development, business case development and responding to bids and formal tenders.


We are particularly seeking candidates that have leadership experience in following change projects;


  • Organisational change, implementing new operating models and designing change interventions to ensure successful implementation of new organisational structures, working closely with business leaders and HR teams to align to business objectives.
  • Culture change, committed to helping our clients create great places to work, breaking down barriers; working together to translate high-level values, design change interventions that embed into the fabric of the organisation to achieve sustained culture change.
  • Behavioural Change- Helping changes and new ways of working to be adopted using creative behavioural change methodology and designing sustainable change inventions.



Key Responsibilities


Strategy Development


  • Collaborative with senior leadership stakeholders to under strategic goals and objectives to build and design a change management strategy to maximise adoption of transformational changes
  • Conduct analysis of the current change maturity and identify areas for improvement, building change maturity and capabilities.
  • Conduct analysis of the current organisational culture
  • Working with senior leadership to define desired organisational culture states
  • Identification of areas of improvement for culture change and design interventions to move the organisation from the current state to the target state


Delivery Management


  • Create and implement a change management framework that includes communication, engagement, training and coaching to drive adoption of new ways of working/transformation initiatives
  • Work with colleagues to define and deliver projects. This will include understanding and interpretation of a range of information, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work with Project Managers/Delivery Managers to support the production of project plans, schedules and reports for a range of audiences. Including but not limited to project budgets and financial updates, risk and issues logs, and technical specifications to meet the project and client requirements.
  • Identify, manage stakeholders and build strong relationships with them
  • Identify change sponsors, create sponsorship plans and providing change coaching to managers and supervisors in their roles as change sponsors
  • Conduct impact analysis, assess business change readiness and design change plans to mitigate change impact
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change and develop resistance plans to ensure adoption
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications and engagement activities to support the change
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness and provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training and guidance to help upskill those going through the change
  • Management of significant process, systems, organisational change, including management of staff through the change and successful implementation of radical and innovative solutions
  • Manage the change portfolio and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Understanding of benefits realisation and outcome based delivery



Commercial Skills


  • Working closely with industry expert consultants to understand the current challenges for our clients and develop business change solutions based on BIPs propositions
  • Understand current trends in change management and how these can be applied to improve our Business Change delivery
  • Horizon scanning of potential trends and impacts to adoption of all change initiatives
  • Experience of business storytelling and commercial narrative
  • Experience of business development, proposition development, business case development and responding to bids and formal tenders
  • Helping to develop a strong brand for the Business Change Practice, using marketing and sales advantages techniques
  • Creating and evaluating business models inline with the company's strategy and seeking business development opportunities for profit potential
  • Having financial acumen to manage and navigate financial decision-making and problem-solving


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Change Manager in a management consultancy firm or working in internal transformation teams leading on the business cases to instigate and kick start large scale transformation delivery
  • Prosci/ APMG or other accredited Change Management qualification
  • Using analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
