Skills Support Coach

Randstad have an opportunity available within Belfast Metropolitan College for a skills support coach to help assist students in enrolment on skills and apprenticeships courses and providing coaching to help overcome any barriers to success. Benefits Opportunity to work at one of the UK's largest FE / HE colleges £13.16 per hour Enhanced holiday package Pension 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 4:30pm Onsite parking Requirements EITHER hold any level 3 qualification or above PLUS a minimum of two years' experience working in a training and/or administrative environment OR a minimum of four years' experience working in a training and/or administrative environment Maths & English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 A minimum of one year's recent experience (in the last 3 years) of working with young people aged between 16 - 24 and adults Experience of working to deadlines and meeting performance targets Travel between sites may be required for this role Responsibilities Ensure that learners are enrolled on the correct programme and any barriers to success are identified and that remedial actions are agreed and followed up Ensure learners receive a full induction onto their programme and know how to access and obtain support To ensure learners understand and can apply all relevant College policies and procedures Review progress in line with programme guidelines and inputs from relevant stakeholders including course coordinators, employers and careers officers To consider the pastoral care of the students and work alongside curriculum departments and external agencies to support students To consider the development of learner employability skills and to support the development of these skills with learners Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
