The role will involve visiting job centres in Coventry, Walsall and Dudley as part of the job when required, expenses paid
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an Employment Advisor to be the main contact for a caseload of customers through their journey into work. This will involve identifying and addressing customers individual barriers to sustainable employment, delivering employment focussed training support to groups and providing one to one information, advice, guidance, and support throughout the programme to help people into long term employment, these are job ready candidates and been trained to the industry being placed in.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Matching customers to suitable employment opportunities and encouraging them to fully engage in the attainment of sustainable employment
* Manager a caseload of candidates through the programme
* Delivering inductions to new candidates
* Initial assessment of customers individual training and development needs to enhance employment prospects
* Construction of individual action plans
* Working closely with the employer engagement consultants to identify relevant employment opportunities
* Deliver training sessions to small groups
* Pro-actively contact employers to promote the candidates into vacancies, arrange interviews and follow up
* Review the candidates’ training needs and development plans
* Attending internal meetings
* If you do not hold your Advice and Guidance qualification, must be willing to work towards this and the company will support this
Requirements for the role
* GCSE English Language Grade C or above or equivalent
* Previous experience of delivering employment focussed advice, guidance, and support either in a training provider or similar or as recruitment consultant in an agency, used to placing people into work
* Awareness of labour market and issues relating to job attainment
Salary and Benefits:
* £26k to £28k per annum
* Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 4.30pm with 30 mins lunch = 35 hours per week
