Learning Support Assistant - Teaching Assistant- Supply - Secondary - SEN - Redhill
The School: Learning Support Assistant - Bank Staff - Supply
The school is based near Redhill, Surrey and provides support for secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of moderate learning and behavioural needs. ***Classes range from 6-8 in size with a focus on implementing effective communication techniques
***Therapy rooms and designated areas for specialist support from a range of therapists including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists and counsellors
***An Integrated Trauma Informed Approach and extensive 1-1 support for every pupil
***Specialist communication methods such as Makaton and PECS
***Focus on preparation for GSCE subjects and building a curriculum that works for their individual needs
***The school likes to focus on LSAs who know their objectives and who would like to continue their journey to become a speech and language therapist
***A psychology degree or specialist SEN training is highly desirable
