At Camp, our patrons can leave their worries behind, discover their holiday superpower, visit Santa, and savor craft cocktails from our Base Camp and Fairy Bars. They can wander through a surreal mashup of nostalgic scenes, scratch their heads at playful pun trees, and, most importantly, reconnect with the joy of the season. Members of underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Camp Christmas, AT&T Performing Arts Centers holiday extravaganza. The Experience Manager leads the team and facilitates communication and collaboration between all the partners and staff to ensure a smooth, safe, and fun Camp experience for staff and guests alike. Camp Christmas opens November 18 and runs through December 31, 2024. Training will be provided starting November 1. This position is temporary and seasonal. Position Responsibilities Serves as primary point of contact and facilitates communication and collaboration between all the key partners. Keeps key stakeholders and leadership informed throughout the process through regular communication, daily show reports, and incident reports. Manages and coordinates schedules for all on-site personnel from all partner teams. Trains, schedules, and supervises Assistant Operations Manager and Volunteers, ensuring a positive guest experience throughout the run of the show. Collaborates to refine emergency action plan and staff training handbook, then leads trainings on both for everyone working on site. Develops and implements processes and procedures to streamline the back-of-house and create the best guest experience. Supervises guest experience. Ensures visitors and staff follow safety rules and policies of Camp Christmas. Steps in to handle disruptive patrons or difficult conversations as necessary. Coordinates with Camp Christmas Box Office Team to resolve ticketing issues. Acts as incident commander for all emergency situations, coordinating with staff on site and emergency services until emergency responders arrive. This may include medical, evacuations and shelter in place situations. Renders first aid and CPR if necessary. Maintains confidentially of proprietary and personal information. Available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the experience. Duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience & Skills Experience working large events and managing a team. Demonstrated commitment to engage people of various ages, backgrounds and abilities in past work. Ability to interact and communicate professionally, courteously and effectively with a wide range of people including staff, contractors, and guests. Proficiency to remain professional, composed and effective under pressure. Project a positive attitude towards the organization and co-workers, and ensure that actions, appearance, attitude and attendance are at a level that serves as a positive example. Able to take command of a situation and speak in front of groups of people. Ability to resolve customer service concerns using reasoning and public relations skills in a professional manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, including emailing, word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Awareness of accessibility laws, experience being proactive to accessibility needs of staff and guests. CPR certified and first responder skills preferred. Previous experience working in a cultural facility with culturally diverse personnel and guests preferred. Emergency situation training preferred. Working Conditions It is an outdoor tented experience. The Camp Christmas environment includes holiday lights, art installations, and a carnival-like atmosphere. There is a steady stream of visitors and face-to-face interactions are consistent throughout the entire scheduled shift. General open hours are 10 am-10 pm. Physical Requirements Must be able to move through the Camp Christmas experience. You will be moving around much of the time, and expected to assist with tasks that could require climbing a ladder, bending down, and carrying up to 50 pounds. J-18808-Ljbffr
