Rebuilds Mechanic

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & repair of machinery and equipment: Battery Scoops, Roof Bolters, LHD, Coal cutters, Shuttle cars, Gathering arm Loader, Face Drill, Tractors, LDVs Working according to mine standards and procedures Ensuring all equipment is inspected and repaired to OEM standard Ensuring all safety devices are operational Training and coaching of subordinates Overhauling of components forming part of machine rebuilds Preparing parts and installations in the assembly process of a rebuild/repair Responsibility of validating quality of work through established procedures Training and utilization of apprentices to increase productivity Servicing and maintenance of company vehicles. Field servicing on breakdowns and maintenance, with the responsibility of fault finding Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent Diesel Mechanic Trade Drivers license code EB Flameproof Certificate Gas testing will be advantageous Minimum of three years of relevant experience in document writing & document control Proven experience in mining/ engineering in coal mining environment Strong health and safety records Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, safety & production orientated Ability to work in a team, under pressure and without supervision Willingness to do standby duties and work overtime
