Tactical Intervention

The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Routine patrols within a dedicated area of responsibility with focus on crime prevention; Identify out of the ordinary behaviour and actions, as well as respond to various types of incidents; Patrolling main areas and responding to Alarms, Escorts and removals of disturbances. Monitor and report all risk situations; Risk reduction including dynamic risk assessment, risk factors and responsibilities after physical intervention; Accurate record keeping; Security intervention with random searches, traffic controls, first responders to emergencies and Escorts; Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification; Proof and Verification of Grade A PSIRA Certification; Valid Code 8 drivers license; Firearm competency for Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle Regulation 21; Recognised tactical training Previous experience at operational tactical response level; Defensive driving qualification; Excellent disciplinary record, Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record; Own reliable transport
