Safety Officer

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Safety Officer within the Timber division at Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Responsibilities and Duties: Manage the Mill's Safety Department, ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations and TWK safety policies Oversee the implementation and maintenance of safety programs, audits, and risk assessments Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are taken Conduct employee safety training and awareness programs Ensure compliance with RSR requirements, managing all aspects related to railway safety within the mill Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting on all safety-related matters Qualifications and Skills: Matric / Grade 12 A relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the timber, manufacturing, or logistics industries Solid understanding of OHS regulations and Railway Safety Regulator standards Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a safety department Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills Analytical thinking with a proactive approach to safety management Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities The company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.
