PSV / HGV Technician - Night Shift

Job Description
We are looking for a PSV Technician to carry out maintenance on a fleet of Busses in Oxford on a permanent basis. This role is permanent Nights
This role is based working Monday to Friday Mostly (Apply online only)) with occasional Weekends (at an enhanced rate)
The salary is £55,000pa for a basic 37 Hr week
Ex forces REME, Heavy automotive (HGV,PSV) , plant and other transferable industries will be considered
Your Tasks
• The inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of all company vehicles including buses, vans and coaches
• Work effectively unsupervised and often with only an outline brief, using specialist or practical skills to complete a timely solution
• Receive, handle safely, store or deploy materials appropriate to the task being undertaken
• Diagnose vehicle faults, using the relevant diagnostic equipment
• Road test Company vehicles (licence permitting)
• Ensure that all appropriate documentation and records are maintained
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Policy requirements.
Your Profile
• Knowledge and previous experience of vehicle bodywork repairs and maintenance procedures, ideally on HGV, PCV or Buses/Heavy Vehicles
• Awareness and understanding of risk assessment, Health and Safety practices
• Computer literate with working knowledge of relevant packages.
• Full manual driving license.
• Holder of a recognised apprenticeship qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ 3) in vehicle repair or similar mechanical vocation
