SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for KS1) | £80-£100 per day | ASAP Start | Waltham Forest, East London

About the Role:
This SEN Teaching Assistant role focuses on providing personalised, one-on-one support to a KS1 pupil, helping them engage with learning activities and develop confidence within the classroom setting. Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
1:1 Support: Work closely with the child, tailoring your support to meet their specific needs, promoting both academic and social development.
Engage and Motivate: Use positive reinforcement to encourage the pupil's participation in classroom activities, helping them develop confidence and independence.
Collaborate with Teachers and SENCO: Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning strategies and adapt lessons as necessary.
Monitor Progress: Track and record the pupil's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents to ensure consistent support.
Create a Safe Space: Establish a trusting relationship with the child, offering a calm and reassuring presence in the classroom.What We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:
Experience with SEN: Prior experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a 1:1 setting, is highly desirable.
Patience and Positivity: A warm, understanding approach to supporting young learners, with the ability to remain patient and encouraging.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust strategies to fit the child's unique needs and a proactive attitude towards finding solutions to daily challenges.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent ability to liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents, building a support network around the pupil.
