Backend Developer - Rust Programming

Role Overview : We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with expertise in Rust to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, develop efficient systems, and contribute to the core architecture of our backend infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and deploy backend systems and microservices using Rust. - Build and maintain robust APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL) for web and mobile applications. - Optimize application performance and scalability for large-scale use. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and deliver new features. - Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and documentation. - Address and resolve production issues promptly. Qualifications : Technical Skills : - Proficient in Rust and its ecosystem. - Experience with backend frameworks such as Actix, Rocket, or Warp. - Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization. - Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes). - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Preferred Skills : - Familiarity with asynchronous programming paradigms. - Experience with distributed systems and microservices. - Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., OAuth, encryption, secure APIs). - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Soft Skills : - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Adaptability and a proactive approach to learning. Ideal Candidate : - Excited about working with Rust - 4 -7 years of experience in shipping production applications - B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Tier 1 Colleges only - Entrepreneurial mindset with strong decision-making skills - Ability to move quickly without breaking things too much (we are dreamers) - Ability to work under immense pressure which is balanced by a sense of responsibility and ownership (ref:hirist.tech)
