Were hiring a CPR Business Development Manager in our SouthWest region. Collaborating with internal staff partners and community volunteers/champions, this position is responsible for the identification, development and implementation of Emergency Preparedness Programs resulting in greater access to CPR training programs for individuals, schools, hospitals, businesses and community groups.

This is a home-office position open to anywhere within the SouthWest region states including Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming.

**Responsibilities**

Key position objectives include the achievement goals for placement of community CPR training products (CPR Anytime Adult/Child, Infant CPR Anytime, CPR in Schools, CPR and First Aid Anywhere, CPR and First Aid for Youth Sports), restricted revenue secured (foundation grants, sponsorships, individual gifts) and the ongoing assessment of communities with the greatest needs - improvement of OHCA (out-of-hospital cardiac arrests) and bystander response rates.

+ In collaboration with internal and external emergency response champions, develop and implement annual business plan resulting in greater access to CPR/First Aid/Safety training in priority communities.

+ In collaboration with internal partners and community champions, identify, assess and lead emergency response needs for communities in the assigned territory. Support the Mission Advancement/Development staff in the solicitation process of prospects. Lead the full implementation of priority restricted funding opportunities in assigned territory.

+ Develop necessary tools and perform accurate & timely fulfillment of program administration duties; effective management of tracking, reporting processes for training programs funded by individuals and foundations. Ensure ongoing maintenance and monthly submission of progress reports to appropriate internal workstreams. As needed, provide progress updates and reports to appropriate external partners.

+ Develop and successfully implement a plan for establishing a train-the-trainer model on how to perform CPR.

+ Work alongside Nation of Lifesavers team members on pilot projects within the region to develop and implement plans and strategies to improve OHCA and bystander response rates.

+ Communicate and actively engage regularly with appropriate regional staff teams, Healthcare Business Solutions (HBS) staff team, and community CPR team.

+ Provide market analysis and modeling for product growth, customer relationship management, and market response. Develop and present proposals and accompanying materials aligned with American Heart Association's products, programs and services.

+ Develop prospects, research and generate new business relationships, through individual efforts and participation in region events and campaigns. Build and distribute reports on outcomes and key deliverables for new business development, current clients and prospective clients. Continually add to the pipeline to ensure adequate support and achievement of goals.

+ Stay current with industry knowledge, competitive analysis and overall trends to support current and prospective clients.

+ Engage with other American Heart Association staff to understand potential solutions to increase engagement and revenue commitment. Propose tailored solicitation, cultivation and stewardship plans to ensure that revenue goals mission priorities are met.

+ Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.

**Qualifications**

+ 3 years of field experience in program development or project management and sales or corporate development work.

+ Ability to develop relationships with healthcare, corporate and educational institutions Experience in building and managing relationships with external alliances or partners.

+ Strong program management skills and organizational skills for project/account planning/management.

+ Ability to travel approximately 30% within the SW region with some overnight travel.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.

+ Position will require CPR Instructor level training which will be provided by the American Heart Association.

+ Knowledge of sudden cardiac systems of care is a plus.

**Compensation & Benefits**

The expected pay range will be $64,400 to $85,900. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. This position is incentive eligible based on achieving certain targets.
