Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Estimator located in our London Office.
The Junior Estimator will work with our Pre-Constriction, Project Management and Design teams and be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to estimating project costs, taking off drawings and measurement, preparing bids, conducting site visits, and liaising with clients and suppliers.
TASK deliver schemes form £200k to £20m all over the UK. This an exciting and fast paced opportunity!
Skills:
- Proficiency in Estimating, Cost Analysis, and Bidding
- Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar
- Strong Analytical and Mathematical skills
- Knowledge of Construction and Building materials
- Experience in a fast track Design and Build company desirable
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Estimating software/tools
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field a bonus though not essential
- A trade related background is also of benefit

Personal qualities, standards, and qualifications
- University Graduate (preferred) within a relevant construction field (Commercial management, QS or Civils)
- Reasonable commute to the office at 180 Brompton Road, London, SW3 1HQ
- Has some relevant work experience from placement years.
- A person keen to pursue pre-construction/estimating as a career.
- Team player and can work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Holds a valid UK driver's license.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.
- Proficient in using relevant software for take-offs and bill of quantities (e.g., Bluebeam). Procore to be taught as part of the training programme.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under tight deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professional skills in the construction industry
