The Role

As a MS SQL SME with in-depth technical knowledge and understanding Customer business and criticality.

Key responsibilities:

• Experience in SQL Failover Cluster Installation, Configuration, Maintenance & Administration of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with SQL Server database encryption; Knowledge in SSRS, SSIS and SSAS installation and support
• Need to have hands-on experience supporting all the SQL Server HADR like Mirroring, replication, log shipping, always on, clustering.
• Providing access rights in database level, objects level as per requirement.
• Capacity Planning & Database refreshes from production backup to Stage, test and Development environments.
• Implemented CDC, Table level Partitioning & Archiving Historical Records
• MS SQL Server Security Policy Review & Implementing TDE & Column Level Encryption at SQL Server Level.
• Performing DR drill activity to Perform Sanity Checks on DR setup for Logshipping, Database Mirroring & Availability Groups
• Experience in configuring linked servers between SQL to Oracle, DB2, MYSQL DB's and vice-versa
• Need to know on how to create Incidents, change request, Service request and perform the RCA for problem ticket.

Your Profile

Key skills/knowledge/experience:

• Hands-on experience supporting SQL Server from version 2008 R2 onwards and installation on the latest SQL version, upgrading & migrating SQL Server.
• Have hands-on experience supporting all the SQL Server versions, Strong analytical skills for problem solving database related issues, Troubleshooting & Performance tuning.
