About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in Havering, London. This full-time, long-term position begins in January 2025 and offers a unique opportunity for an HLTA to bring their skills and passion to a supportive and collaborative school environment. As an HLTA, you will work alongside teachers to support and deliver engaging learning experiences for children across Key Stages 1 and 2. With a focus on both academic progress and personal growth, you’ll play a crucial role in nurturing students and helping them reach their full potential.

Application Requirements:
• A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working within primary school settings, especially in Key Stages 1 or 2.
• Confidence in leading small group activities and supporting whole-class learning.
• Excellent communication skills, and a supportive, proactive approach to working with children.
• Experience or an interest in working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in delivering the curriculum and support student engagement and understanding.
• Lead small group sessions and provide one-on-one support to students who may need extra help.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, safe, and productive atmosphere.
• Assist with planning and preparation of learning resources, as well as marking and assessments.
