This position is in Office of Research and Development (ORD). About the ORD: https://www.epa.gov/aboutepa/about-office-research-and-development-ord This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected). *EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section.
The Pathways Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed. The position must be related to the student’s academic field of study or the student’s career interests. NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to the eligibility requirements for the Pathways Internship Program, Pathways Interns qualify for an initial appointment based on their educational achievements as described below: To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have completed one full academic year of graduate level education; or a bachelor’s degree with superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition). NOTE: One full academic year of education is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university, or school to represent one year of full-time study.
