Marketing and Communications Officer

Merrifield Consultants are proud to partner with the Bromley by Bow centre to find their new Marketing and Communications officer. This role is fantastic for a candidate looking to lead on communications strategy and raise the profile of the charity to increase their income through various marketing channels.

Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: £32,000

Location: Bromley -by- Bow (Stratford area, 60% in the office)

Role responsibilities:

• Support the Head of income generation and marketing to develop and implement a coherent Communications and Marketing plan for the Centre.
• Manage communications across all channels to build strong consistent brand, segmenting these to engage our diverse stakeholders.
• Manage the redesign of the charity’s website and make sure regular content is uploaded, ensuring SEO best practices and accessibility.
• Manage social media channels, ensuring content is maintained and up to date.
• Manage direct marketing campaigns and timetable content production across channels.
• Support Centre’s income generation efforts through marketing, communications and events.
• Creating compelling case studies that demonstrate the impact of our work by working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Measure performance of digital activity using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Report on marketing outcomes and CRM data.
• Work with Delivery and Income Generation teams to identify and produce marketing materials.
• Engage in Centre-wide initiatives, meetings, and forums.

Skills and experience:

• Three or more years’ experience in a marketing position.
• Ability to think strategically about communications and how your work contributes to the charity’s mission.
• Highly experienced and adept at writing for different audiences across various channels.
• Experience with Google Ads, Mailchimp, Canva and InDesign.
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital engagement techniques.
• Understanding of Google Analytics, social media monitoring and SEO.
