Job Description: Marketing Manager for Texas boutique hospitality company.


About French Cowboys

French Cowboys is a Texas-based boutique hotel brand and management company. We design and operate beautiful escapes easily accessible from Texas urban centers, inviting guests to disconnect from the city and reconnect with what matters.


Currently, we manage 5 hotels (~150 rooms) across New Braunfels, Comfort and Canyon Lake, with plans to add 6 more properties (~300 rooms) throughout the Texas Hill Country and West Texas in the next 18 to 24 months.

Franklin & Dylan, known as the “French Cowboys”, bring a unique blend of heritage, passion and vision to every project. Driven by a shared passion for Texas and a commitment to create spaces that embody southern hospitality with a European touch, they left their roots behind, relocating to Texas to build a hospitality company that revives forgotten places with elegance and authenticity.


About the Role

Until now, French Cowboys has done minimal marketing while our hotels have been under renovation. With our renovations nearing completion, we’re ready to expand our marketing efforts to increase awareness and drive traffic to our properties.


As Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives, overseeing our digital presence (social media channels, email campaigns etc) as well as our events strategy and execution.


As part of this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a team of specialists:

  • Digital Marketing Agency: executes our paid advertising initiatives.
  • Website Development Agency: implements website updates and optimizations as needed.
  • Social Media Manager: manages content creation, including shooting, editing and scheduling posts.
  • Our in-house creative team: leads graphic design, interior design etc.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for each hotel, including email campaigns as well as social media and influencer marketing.
  • Develop and execute our events/programming strategy (launch party, live music program, F&B activations etc) and execute with support from our onsite hotel staff.
  • Collaborate with our various agencies to ensure digital marketing efforts (SEO, paid ads etc) are in line with overall marketing strategy.
  • Monitor and adjust the marketing budget and initiatives to ensure strategies are continuously optimized for maximum ROI.
  • Assist with PR needs, including press stays, coordinating room drops, gathering press quotes etc.
  • Support copywriting for various marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee our social media calendar and community management across all property profiles.
  • Attend meetings with corporate and hotel teams to ensure that all collateral, events, digital content, PR, photography, room promotions are on-brand and meet budget requirements.
  • Manage the organization, maintenance and cataloging of property photography, video library and marketing files ensuring all assets are accessible and up to date.
  • Coordinate and oversee photo shoots.
  • Oversee all hotel website updates, conduct regular audits, and request SEO updates as needed.
  • Support special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Deep understanding and passion for boutique hotels.
  • Expertise in marketing strategies, specifically for boutique hotels.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, Meta/Google Ads, website management and SEO optimization.


Experience

  • 3 + years of related hospitality marketing experience.
