ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The Production Supervisor will oversee day-to-day production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role is ideal for a dedicated and organized professional with strong leadership abilities, a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards, and a focus on safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise production staff, organize workflow, and ensure manufacturing goals are met.
- Communicate job expectations, plan and monitor job results, and manage staff performance, including coaching, counseling, and training.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of new team members.
- Enhance workflow by setting processing variables, monitoring control points, overseeing resources, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Complete production plans by scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth shift production.
- Maintain quality standards by establishing and enforcing production protocols.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, call for repairs as needed, and evaluate new techniques to improve production efficiency.
- Compile and analyze production data, respond to queries, and implement improvements in operating practices.
- Research and negotiate with vendors to streamline processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure a safe work environment by educating staff on safety practices and maintaining compliance with safety policies.
- Analyze and resolve personnel issues as they arise.
- Support team objectives by contributing to the achievement of production goals and other assigned duties.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on production supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to guide a production team effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Project and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to coach, mentor, train, and motivate team members.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Experience with composites is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Work Environment: Primarily in a manufacturing setting with some office-based duties.
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to talk, listen, stand, walk, and use hands. Occasionally required to lift and move items up to 50-70 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Travel: No travel required for this position.
COMPENSATION:
- Pay: Starting at $68,000 per year.
