Job Description
Teaching assistant position supporting children with SEN in primary
Opportunity to work with children from nursery up to year 6
Closest station is Paddington, Westminster London
£80 - £105 per day (£450 - £525 per week)

Teaching assistant job role:
Working within the classroom of a mainstream primary school, supporting the class teacher with lessons, general classroom behaviour, setting up and delivering activities and supervising play and lunch time breaks.
Working on a one to one basis, supporting children in the classroom with special needs such as Autism, ADHD, social and emotional mental health and physical disabilities. Assisting them with class work, adapting the lesson, managing behaviour and ensuring a rich education.
Small group intervention work, taking small groups of pupils with different level abilities for more focused work sessions based on maths, phonics/English and other key subjects.
Setting up classroom and any activities before children arrive, ensure a clean and safe environment throughout the day and preparing for next day.

Required to qualify for the role of a teaching assistant:
Ideally you will have a childcare related qualification, university degree or previous experience working with children in some capacity such as previous teaching assistant, professional care giver, sports or holiday club coach etc.
You will be passionate about providing a top notch education to children and especially those with special needs or lower level learners.
The successful teaching assistant will need compassion and patience, a calm nature to understand the children and help them to understand any lessons, subjects, behaviours etc.
