Job Description
**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist
**Job Specialty:** X-Ray Tech
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (08:00 - 18:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Preferred: Level 1 Trauma Center experience; Academic Medical Center experience
**License:** Must be licensed as required
**Certifications:** Must be eligible for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification upon hire and registered within 6 months of hire date. Current approved BLS card required.
**Must-Have:** Experience in radiography and OBMI license
**Job Description:**
- Perform all phases of technical diagnostic imaging.
- Operate X-Ray equipment to capture and develop images for medical diagnosis.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective, family-oriented service.
- Create a collaborative environment by integrating education, research, and clinical leadership.
- Work with infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Provide quality images with accuracy and efficiency.
- Train in all general radiology exams/areas for departmental rotation.
- Utilize a transportation system to arrange for patient delivery.
- Position patients for diagnostic radiology exams according to procedures and safety standards.
- Operate radiology equipment and set exposure factors to ensure accurate and quality images.
- Use computer image processing to select, process, optimize, and archive images to PACS.
- Track exams in the Radiology Information System.
- Develop and present images and related information for diagnosis.
- Assist with patient transport using standard procedures.
- Assist in training Radiologic Technology Students.
- Gather documentation for accurate and timely service.
- Correctly identify patients by checking identity per procedure.
- Review patient charts and orders for correct examinations.
- Label images with demographic and other necessary documentation.
- Log activities and charge exams as required.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance, record results, and report any equipment variances.
**Qualifications Required:**
- Graduate from an accredited diagnostic radiography program eligible for ARRT board examinations in Radiography.
- Experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
- Must have current BLS certification and required licenses/certifications.
