Instrumentation Electrician

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a completed apprenticeship or diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology Must be a certified Electrician or Instrumentation Technician Minimum 3 years experience in a production environment, achieving efficiency targets Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems Knowledge of safety protocols (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash) is essential Familiarity with industry standards and codes is advantageous Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills The successful candidate will be responsible for: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems (up to 600V). Troubleshooting electrical issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment. Conducting electrical safety inspections and preventive maintenance. Wiring and connecting electrical devices, motors, and control panels. Installing, calibrating, and maintaining devices like pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters. Troubleshooting instrumentation issues with specialized tools and software. Configuring, programming, and performing loop checks and functional testing on instrumentation systems. Interpreting and working with electrical/instrumentation diagrams, blueprints, and schematics. Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other tradespeople. Developing and adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Maintaining accurate records and documentation. Participating in plant shutdowns, maintenance, and upgrades. Adhering to all health and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
