Johnsons Hotel Linen is a leading laundry and linen hire company, part of the Johnson Service Group.We are seeking a talented individual to join us as Van Driver / Loader to strengthen our Transport team.

Job Functions: Deliveries & Loading

We are looking for a highly versatile, professional and self-motivated individual, who will be part of our transport team involved in a dynamic and varied role helping to support the smooth running of one of our depots. This is a physically demanding job and is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent maintenance and fault-finding skills. They must demonstrate flexibility with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude dealing with a wide variety of tasks including yard duties. The job is physically demanding with early starts delivering and collecting linen in the London area

Responsibilities of the role include :

• Carry out deliveries to hotels as and when requested by the Transport Manager and/or offices
• Maintaining Vans on a daily/weekly basis and ensuring that vehicles are clean and road worthy/legal at all times
• Maintaining regular and constant contact with the Transport Manager and/or office
• Delivering and collecting clean and soiled linen
• Collecting soiled linen lists and handing them into the service office, as required
• At all times you are expected to represent the Company in a professional manner, being polite and courteous towards all customers
• Keeping the inside of your vehicle clean at all times and dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided in the yard
• Ensuring that vehicles are always left overnight at the production facility as company insurance requires all vehicles to be left in secure premises
• Completing a daily safety check on your vehicle prior to leaving the depot to check key maintenance issues including tyres, levels and lights, wear Hi-Vis jacket and other safety equipment on site and at customer premises

The position covers a variety of shift patterns and the successful candidate, must be prepared to be flexible in your approach to working hours including weekends. Start times will vary and will include early starts and weekend working.
