About the Company
Due to continued success and growth, a leading engineering business specializing in cutting-edge process technologies is seeking a Design Engineer to join their innovative team.

Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our design office, responsible for mechanical calculations, creating technical drawings, and preparing material lists for fabrication. Your main tasks will include:

• Performing mechanical calculations using PD5500, ASME, and EN standards in software like Finglow and PvElite.
• Developing 3D models and preparing detailed technical drawings for production and client use.
• Liaising with the project team to ensure all deadlines are met and projects stay on schedule.
• Generating material lists, cutting lists, and preparing templates for CNC production.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the design office.

Skills & Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor / equivalent
• Strong understanding of pressure vessel codes (ASME, PD5500) and/or standards for heat exchangers (API 660, TEMA).
• Experience with mechanical calculation software like PvElite and Finglow.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
