Job Description
Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a dynamic and forward thinking AI technology company. We are looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative to work on the front line, serving as the first point of contact between our client and potential customer base. You will be responsible for identifying potential leads and effectively nurturing them into sales opportunities. This is a great opportunity to work within a groeing sales team, with potential future opportunity to progress into a management level position.
As a Sales Development Reprensentative your key responsibilities will include;
* Conducting research to identify potential customers and target accounts within our focus markets (UK, US & Europe) and industries (Consumer Goods & Services)
* Initiating contact with potential leads through various multi-channel contact strategies; including email, phone, and social media platforms.
* Engaging with leads to understand their needs, pain points, and requirements. Assessing their level of interest and readiness to engage in further discussions with our sales team.
* Continuously nurturing and maintaining relationships with qualified leads who are not yet ready to convert.
* Providing valuable information, resources, and insights to keep the leads engaged and interested in our offerings.
* Scheduling qualified leads for further discussions and appointments with our New Business Team.
* Ensuring all relevant information is accurately passed on to the Sales Team and meetings materialise.
* Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies, share insights, and optimise lead generation efforts. Be dynamic and pursue test and learn initiatives to prove new cutting-edge approaches.
* Recording and maintaining accurate lead data and activities within our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to ensure a comprehensive and up-to-date sales pipeline.
Skills required;
* Demonstrable extensive sales development experience
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
* Previous experience of lead prospecting, outreach, and engagement
* Commercially focused mindset
* Ability to build relationships across departments, suppliers, and clients
* Teamwork: Candidates should possess the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team
* Persistence and proactive attitude towards achieving goals.
* Strong negotiation skills
* Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment
