Job Advertisement: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Mansfield
Age range: KS2, KS3
Salary: £12.82 - £13.50 an hour(School holidays off and unpaid)
Type of contract: Permanent
Type of role: Full-time
Days a week: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday
Hours: 9 am – 3 pm
Qualifications needed: Level 1 Teaching assistant or child care or equivalent
Experience Needed: None (experience working with children and/or young adults would be a bonus but not essential)

About the role:
Classroom Recruiters is seeking a passionate and engaging individual to join as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant in the Mansfield area. In this role, you will work with children who face challenges in mainstream environments, providing support on a 1:1 basis. Your primary focus will be to create a positive and nurturing environment for the students, occasionally participating in group activities with other 1:1 staff to foster innovation and positivity. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in various settings, including schools, community centres, vocational settings, and more. While specific qualifications or experience are not required, a genuine passion for helping children and making a profound impact on young minds is essential.

Training/ Induction:
You will receive a full week's worth of induction before starting the role, you will complete office-based learning with HR and Senior Leadership, as well as 2 full days of shadowing in your local area accompanying a Senior Member of Staff. This training will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your role, even if you lack formal qualifications.
Progress:
After 6 months of being in the role, you are offered to complete a Level 3 Teaching Assistant course. The company pay for it and it is a great opportunity to gain a qualification that will advance your career as a teaching assistant. After completing the qualification you will also receive the higher band of pay as a newly Higher Level Teaching Assistant!
