The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a major investment to be made in the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield. TRU is a multi-billion-pound, transformative, long-term railway infrastructure programme that will improve connectivity in the North. It will support economic growth in the North and deliver real benefits for passengers and communities along this pivotal rail artery.

TRU has an exciting portfolio of Civil engineering works to suit your interests and skillset. We have exciting opportunities to join our dynamic team in the Huddersfield to Dewsbury corridor as Sub Agents working on the construction phase of this prestigious scheme.

As a Sub Agent, you will beresponsiblefor the following:

• Set a personal example in health, safety and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments and briefings
• Manage, supervise and mentor Section, Site and Assistant Engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and generation of appropriate records
• Maintain good working relationship with Alliance staff and supply chain partners
• Adoptand promote a cost-conscious attitude through efficient use of company resources
• Supportthe Agent as required in operating the cost management system, the production of short term programmes
• Communicatewith key stakeholders and maintain a helpful collaborative approach
• Adoptand promote the use of BIM technologies
• Communicatewith General Foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availability
• Assist the Agent as required toprocurenecessary materials, sub-contracts and plant in sufficient time
• Undertake 1 to 1 meetings, PDRs andsupportthe development and training needs ofjuniorstaff
• Identify and put corrective actions in place for any non conformances found.

Your qualifications and experience will include:

• Qualified to ICE Technician or Incorporated level or equivalent (preferred)
• Successful experience at section engineer level
• Thorough working knowledge of Company health, safety, quality and environment procedures
• Demonstrated application of growing commercial and contractual knowledge
• Completion of SMSTS
