About the role: SEN TA: Join our supportive and dedicated team in Ealing as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with challenging behaviours. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced SEN staff and teachers to provide tailored support to students with various behavioural needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on managing and understanding challenging behaviours, you will engage one-on-one and in small groups with students, helping them navigate and overcome behavioural and social-emotional obstacles. Your work will directly support these children in building confidence, learning self-regulation, and achieving both academic and personal growth.

• Prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, especially in managing challenging behaviours.
• An understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculums is a plus.
• Strong communication and empathy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SEN specialists, and other TAs.
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to individual students and small groups, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assist with implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
• Support teachers in classroom activities, adapting tasks as necessary to ensure inclusivity.
• Actively monitor student progress and communicate with the SEN team.
• Engage with students during classroom and recreational activities, promoting their social and emotional development.
