Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
Are you passionate about supporting young learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH, you will play an integral role in helping children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs build self-confidence and learn essential social and academic skills.
Working one-on-one and in small groups, you’ll be a trusted guide, helping students navigate their challenges while celebrating their achievements. Your patience, empathy, and dedication will foster a safe space for students to express themselves and make meaningful progress.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN environment, ideally with a focus on SEMH.
• Knowledge of social-emotional learning strategies, restorative practices, and positive behavior support techniques.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in one-on-one settings and small groups.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans, collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to ensure student progress.
• Promote positive behavior, self-esteem, and resilience through creative and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential.
