Role: Process Coordinator (2 posts) Department: Finance Grade: 6 (£32,314 - £38,019) Responsible to: Finance Directorate Campus: (Post 1: Belfast or Coleraine), (Post 2: Coleraine) (Permanent / Full-Time) Closing date: 24th November 2024 at 23:30 Reference number: 032142 - ABOUT US - We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation, and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social, and cultural development of Northern Ireland. Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The Finance Directorate is responsible for the delivery of Finance and Procurement Services within the University. The Directorate is currently embarking on a period of review and transformation to enhance the processes, systems, and controls within the Directorate and in conjunction with evolving Regulatory requirements. The post-holders will support this transformation by leading and participating in process review projects and system enhancements/upgrades and replacement projects. As part of the role, the post-holders, through engagement with key stakeholders, will identify, support, and implement the Finance Directorate transformation programme. These activities must be completed with due consideration being given to Internal controls, relevant University policies and procedures and external Regulatory compliance requirements. - ABOUT YOU - - 3 A Levels, BTECND/C, NVQ3 or equivalent qualifications. - Experience working in a Finance or Procurement team, department, or function. - Experience of identifying and implementing process improvements considering systems, controls, and policies. - Experience of analysing and manipulating large volumes of data in Excel. - Highly developed analytical and reporting skills to interrogate data to answer queries and provide resolutions to issues. - Evidence of using initiative in reviewing and improving working practices ensuring adherence to internal control procedures. - Evidence of ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail. - Willingness to travel as required by the needs of the post.
