Job Description
Title: DCO Senior Systems Technician
Location: Reno, NV
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am-5pm
Compensation: Base salary of $90,000 plus annual bonus

Position Description:
The Sr. Technician will work with the management team to facilitate operating and maintaining the datacenter. This team member is experienced in diverse industries such as electrical generation electrical distribution, cooling technologies, and fire suppression systems. This team member will work to find innovative ways to keep operational costs to a minimum, within budget, and to improve efficiency.
Other responsibilities:
--- Responsible for and maintain 100% critical systems uptime
--- First Responder when qualified and designated
--- Train and support creation of P3 events in Ops Genie
--- Oversee and complete Tasks with safety and quality assurance in mind
--- Develop, mentor, and provide technical leadership
--- Support the creation and review of critical environment procedures
--- Understanding and utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System
--- Analyze data to assist development of a predictive maintenance plan
--- Performing administrative and document related to work
--- Assist in authoring process, procedures, and reporting metrics
--- Act as the on-site Lead for root cause analysis activities in area of expertise
--- Assisting with assigned projects and initiatives
--- Effectively coordinate with customers, both internal and external, to install, troubleshoot, and test
premise equipment including but not limited to: standard datacenter infrastructure hardware such
as PDU's, computers, switches, routers, optics, wireless access points, and other transport
equipment
--- Performing vendor escorts
--- Interpret, investigate and remediate mission critical alerts
--- Accurately document all actions, events and corresponding time allocated for tasks
Requirements:
--- Possess cognition of the impact of electrostatic discharge when applied to electronic devices and the
ability to apply practical methods to mitigate static discharge events
--- Possess ability to navigate and effectively utilize ticketing systems
--- Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as exceptional
technical capabilities
--- Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively with contractors installing, performing
maintenance or upgrade work on systems installed in the data center environment
--- Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 Operation, including weekends and holidays
--- Strong background in HVAC control systems and mechanical operation
--- Diverse experience of electrical and mechanical systems that may be employed in a data center
environment; this may include electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS Systems ,
DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, breakers, batteries, load bank connections, CRACs, air
handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, and fire suppression system
--- Documented electrical engineering expertise and/or experience in the electricity profession is an
advantage
--- Must be familiar with safety requirements and OSHA regulations
--- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings (blueprints/CAD)
--- Education: College Degree and/or Technical Trade School, or military training related to Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
--- Experience: 6 years' experience in production, facilities, electrical, or mechanical maintenance preferred
