ELECTRICIAN - MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Minimum requirements: Minimum Grade 12 N2 Certification in Electrical Trade Theory or higher Trade-tested Electrician certification At least 5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics Strong understanding of electrical principles, including: DC, AC, single-phase, 2-phase, 3-phase, 230V, and 380V systems Troubleshooting electrical systems using test equipment like ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes Hands-on expertise in: Installing, assembling, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures Programming variable frequency drives (VFDs) Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems and ensuring compatibility and safety Familiarity with machinery used in plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection moulding, blow moulding, and reheat stretch blow moulding Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems Soft Skills: Fault-finding and problem-solving abilities Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to act decisively and urgently High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Health & Safety: Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
