About the role

The Core Systems team at eero is responsible for maintaining, scaling, and developing distributed systems critical to our operations, developing data services that handle fleet analytics and business metrics, and creating reusable tools and components that enable the rest of the organization to build scalable, secure, and reliable software.


Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop software libraries, patterns, and services that enable engineers to be secure by default
  2. Improve monitoring to detect anomalous behavior
  3. Review and perform threat analysis on system designs
  4. Advise project teams on security requirements
  5. Create tools to perform security checks and alerting early in the development process
  6. Participate in incident response

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  3. 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  4. Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
