Production Operator – Power Station

Circa £30,000 - £38,000 + benefits

Ely, Cambridgeshire

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Production Operator to join a biomass power station Ely, Cambridgeshire. The responsibilities you will undergo as a operator covers a wide range of operational activities to ensure the plant is efficiently hitting targets in a safe manner.

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:

Perform consistent inspections and checks around the plant, ensuring maximum performance of machinery.
Assisting the team with startup/close of the plant.
Training on different systems including DCS (Distributed Control System).
Operating a range of plant machinery including FLTs, Excavators etc.
Maintain a safe, clean orderly plant condition at all times.
Performing all these duties on a day/night shift pattern basis.
To be considered for this role you should have:

A completed apprenticeship or qualification (C&G, NVQ) in a relevant field.
Mobile plant skills helpful but not necessary.
Military engineers are encouraged to apply (Navy, RAF and Army.
Basic maintenance skills (mechanical or electrical).
Happy working 12-hour shifts pattern that includes both days and nights.
Willingness to develop and learn new skills.
