KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.
Job Title: Functional Skills Manager
Location: Home/Field based - Must be flexible with travel
Salary: £37,500 (Inclusive of car allowance)
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role duties;
* Develop and implement innovative Curriculum across our client's Functional Skills provision.
* Lead on quality assurance and improvement, to develop and encourage Tutor's to raise standards of their delivery.
* Work closely with the Quality Manager and Head of Apprenticeships to review and update internal policies and procedures, ensuring awarding organisation requirements are met.
* Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across Functional Skills through conducting face-to-face and online observations, evaluating the effectiveness of delivery, and adapt if needed.
* Produce monthly reports based on timely completion of Functional Skills elements; action plan completions and any development opportunities identified through observations and sampling.
Essential Criteria:
* Must hold either a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA, TAQA) or Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
* Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Maths and English.
* Ideally hold a recognised IQA qualification.
* Must hold strong expertise within Functional Skills Maths and English.
* Experience of team management.
* Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
