About the Role:
We are looking for people who are passionate about Early Years and who have significant knowledge and experience to support trainees, working towards their Early Years Teacher Status.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Completing termly skills reviews with trainees to identify skills and knowledge gaps against the EYITT curriculum themes.
- Completing observations in workplace and placement settings, liaising with mentors and lead trainers.
- Developing and taking responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to trainees needs.
- Assessing and providing feedback to learners using an online system.
- Supporting the delivery of training using approved training resources to cover curriculum themes.
- Providing mental health and wellbeing support to trainees.
- Ensuring that any necessary placements are arranged and attended, giving suggestions for schools/settings if required.
About You:
- Have up to date Early Years industry knowledge
- Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers, mentors and trainees.
- Can motivate learners and ensure they complete deadlines on time
- Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with online systems
- Hold a full driving licence, have own vehicle and be willing to travel to different settings.
- Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
