Job Title: QA Engineer
Reports to: QA Manager
The Role
Are you a detail-oriented professional passionate about quality assurance in a fast-paced digital environment? Newsquest Digital Media is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our agile team. In this role, you’ll oversee both functional and non-functional testing, manage user story-based scenario testing, and conduct end-to-end testing using both manual and automated test scripts. Collaborate with design, development, publishing, and editorial teams to deliver high-quality products in an environment that values growth and expertise.
The successful candidate should be
* Enthusiastic and engaged in digital products with a proactive approach.
* Organised, self-assured, and capable of working independently
* Flexible and able to adjust smoothly to evolving priorities.
* Able to report to one of our regional offices in either London or Worcester once every 2 months.
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on seeing tasks through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare test data and execute manual testing to ensure product quality.
* Participate in project phases from initiation, promoting quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Record, manage, and communicate issues accurately within the team.
* Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of project phases.
* Contribute to advancing our automated testing practices.
Qualification for the Role
* Minimum 1 year of QA experience within a digital, preferably multi-brand, environment.
* Solid understanding of test automation.
* Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Advantageous Skills
* ISEB qualification (foundation level).
* Familiarity with web design and development technologies (e.g., PHP, Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
* Knowledge of SEO and online marketing concepts.
