Job Description

Here at Bonmarche we have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Media and Content Executive to join our team, based at our Head Office near Wakefield.


This is an important role within the company that combines creative writing and commercial thinking to help drive the business forward and grow digital demand by increasing social following and engagement across all channels whilst raising the awareness and positive perception of the brand. Supporting the development and execution of a social media strategy, relevant creative content, influencer marketing and store support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a seasonal social media strategy and plan to drive footfall, traffic, and revenue
  • Plan, produce copy and schedule the weekly social plan across all social channels
  • Develop and manage the influencer and outreach programme, building relationships and working on collaborations.
  • Management of influencer contracts, ensuring all requirements for the campaign are specified and met, creating briefs to suit campaigns
  • Plan and produce seasonal gifting to influencers in line with the planning calendar.
  • Understanding the budget allocated to social media and propose the most efficient way to utilise the budgets to drive awareness and revenue.
  • Lead the planning, creation, distribution and analysis of all social media marketing channels
  • Create and brief in content through production of relevant, engaging copy, sourcing of imagery
  • Product engaging and trend lend content, proposing the best ways to utilise stores to best showcase seasonal product
  • Utilise video and aspirational photography content through all social channels
  • Community management across all social channels
  • Drive increased engagement and fan growth through paid social activity, using boosts on events and high performing posts
  • Measure and report on social activity via GA4 and social monitoring tools, learning from outcomes and behaviours to make suggestions for future content and to optimise spend against fan growth and post engagement.
  • Monitor and produce a monthly report on social, PR and influencer trends and competitor social activity
  • Produce a weekly trade report on previous week’s performance
  • Conduct online research to understand seasonal trends, stay abreast of latest developments, social media trends and competitors, creating updates on industry best practices
  • Ensure all social campaigns are customer centric and on brand
  • Manage the social accounts of two sub brands, working on building brand identity through the social channels as well as new audiences that fit with each demographic.


What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in managing social media platforms including Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop or similar photo and editing software
  • Confidence shooting content through mobile phone or DSLR camera
  • Experience using social listening and scheduling tools
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work to a brief and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Creative copywriting skills essential
  • Paid social media marketing experience desired (fan growth and engagement)
  • A passion for communities and social media essential
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communicator with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Results focused
  • Editorial or creative content background desirable
  • Experience in the fashion industry desirable.
  • Ability to drive would be an advantage although not essential (some UK travel required)
