Job Title: Head of Regional Marketing, EMEA

Location: Remote UK

Position Summary:

Responsible for the regional marketing strategy in the EMEA region. Translate company goals and product marketing strategies into actionable regional and channel marketing plans for EMEA that deliver measurable revenue results for Thales Cloud Protection & Licensing (CPL) direct and channel sales organizations across all target market segments.

Manages a team of Regional Marketers who are responsible for the regional and channel marketing programs, that execute on marketing plans and achieve defined revenue goals. The role spans across all solutions under the business unit CPL, and all target market segments including large enterprises.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • STRATEGY & PLANNING - Generation of actionable regional and channel marketing plans with specific, measurable lead and revenue goals that are aligned with targets of direct & channel sales, product marketing & management, and corporate communications. Budget tracking, management and reporting.
  • SALES SUPPORT - Delivery of sales enablement programs and tools, including sales education that help direct and channel sales organizations to identify and close revenue opportunities along the sales cycle.
  • CHANNEL MARKETING - Supporting the partner marketing program in the region. Planning and delivery of joint partner marketing programs and campaigns to support channel strategy and specific revenue goals. Includes partner training, events, joint collateral, maintenance of partner portal, etc.
  • EVENT MARKETING - Planning and delivery of events that support the region and channel marketing plans and go-to-market strategy.
  • COMMUNICATIONS - Establish and manage communications calendar and tools including newsletters, collateral and email campaigns to reach key audiences including customers, prospects, sales, etc.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT - Manages the work efforts of individual contributors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • GLOBAL ALIGNMENT - Contribute knowledge, skills and ideas to the marketing teams worldwide while serving as the bridge between global, regional and local teams.

Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or marketing or another related field of study.
  • 7 to 9 years in marketing management and leadership role.
  • 10+ years of experience in field marketing roles supporting direct and channel sales to enterprise customers, combined with budget responsibility in a specified region.
  • Comprehensive experience with the following marketing program components: strategic planning, budget planning, program design, campaign planning, telemarketing, direct marketing, digital marketing (email, syndication, advertising, PPC), events including tradeshows, conferences, road shows, seminars and webinars, performance metrics and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM and various software applications.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must have robust work experience in the high-tech industry (information security or networking), sales experience is desirable.
  • Experience managing a cross-functional marketing team, including channel marketing.
  • Experience working with senior sales leaders in creating and building strategic marketing plans and programs that align with regional market conditions and regional sales goals.
  • Proven track record of establishing programs and activities that drive pipeline for sales, with an emphasis on KPI metrics, measurement and ROI tracking.
  • Experience of working in a matrix structure.
  • People management experience in areas such as recruitment and selection, managing employee issues, carrying out appraisals and goal setting etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business management or marketing or another related field of study.
