Tea Rebellion provides single origin, farm-direct, award winning teas to tea lovers who care about tea providence and fair trade. As a B Corp since 2022, we are committed to transparent and sustainable practices in the tea industry. In 2024 Tea Rebellion published its Regenerative Organic Tea Farming Principles and shared that its launching a Regenerative Tea Farming Action project. This project aims to accelerate the adoption of and the commercial benefits from regenerative organic tea farming practices in the tea sector by working with smallholders, cooperatives and family run farms.
Role Description
This is a remote Internship Position as Project and Fundraising Manager to support the founder of Tea Rebellion in setting up and running the Regenerative Tea Farming Action project. The project will kick off with its initial meeting in early November in parallel to the first week of COP29. We are looking for a keen change agent who has the right motivation, capability and connections to make this project a success for him/herself as well as for the tea industry at large. Is this you?
Key Activities
The Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day project activities
- Helping to schedule Project Meetings (across different time zones), manage invites and attendance
- Keeping project members informed of progress and tracking progress and milestones
- Synthesising findings and sharing them internally and externally
- Contributing at strategic level to the direction of the project and its impact
- Preparing submissions to public donors and green /voluntary managers
- Any other as identified
Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in organising and executing effective remote meetings
- Ability to work collaboratively and remotely
- Excellent project management, progress tracking
- Ability to complex insights into findings and learnings
- Understanding of Sustainability impact and metrics in particular as they relate to regenerative farming (climate, nature, biodiversity, water, soils, perennial crops)
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Agriculture, Project management or Fundraising, or related field
Time Commitment & Pay
- This is an unpaid, part time internship position while this project secures funding
- Minimum time commitment for 6 months: 8-15 hours a week
