Key Responsibilities
As a Shift Engineer, your role will focus on maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability. Key duties include:
Performing day-to-day maintenance and improvements on plant, machinery, and services.
Conducting preventative maintenance and recommending optimized practices.
Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults swiftly to minimize downtime.
Ensuring all tasks adhere to food safety and health and safety regulations.
Supporting and promoting a safety-first culture.
Testing, diagnosing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment.
Identifying and reporting potential machinery defects to prevent failure.
Collaborating with external suppliers and OEMs for technical support as required.
Contributing to the CMMS database with maintenance data.
What I'm Looking For
I'm seeking skilled and motivated engineers who thrive in a challenging and fast-moving environment. Candidates that will be considered will have:
Proven experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, or process sectors.
An HNC qualification or an apprenticeship, paired with hands-on experience working with high-speed machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs.
Expertise in filling and process technology and familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to address complex engineering challenges.
Demonstrable success in roles within clean environments.
Exceptional communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
