Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Didcot
Our client, a leading organisation in the field of Environmental Science, is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join their team. You will play a crucial role in performing analytical tasks and duties to the highest standards, specifications, and time constraints. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality of your work and undertaking non-routine tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
Perform analytical duties independently and meet productivity and quality specifications.
Follow methods, standard operating procedures, local rules, and regulations to maintain good laboratory practise.
Comply with the Laboratory Quality System.
Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate work records.
Report any faults and abnormalities in equipment and data.
Assist in the training of new staff members when required.
Support the Line Manager in achieving production and quality targets.Quality and Technical Responsibilities:
Support the Team Leader.
Assist in the investigation of failed/repeat PT results and raised issues.
Conduct equipment calibration when trained to do so.Requirements:
GCSE or equivalent in English, Science, and Maths, grade C or above.
Experience working in a high-pressure, production-driven environment.
Basic understanding of scientific principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Familiarity with safe working procedures and health and safety regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of UKAS and MCERTS standards.Essential Skills:
