Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Lewisham
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic and supportive team at a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and support the academic and personal development of our students.
Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students across a range of subjects.
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Support the development of student work, including helping with revision and exam preparation.
Observe and assist with student progress, providing feedback where necessary.
Support extracurricular activities and school events as needed.Requirements:
A recent graduate (ideally with a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in working with young people and helping them succeed.
Previous child-based experience is preferred but not essential.
A current DBS certificate on the Update Service is required (or willingness to apply for one).
A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.Desirable:
Experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, coaching, volunteering).
Knowledge of SEN or experience supporting students with additional learning needs.What we offer:
