Job Description
Role - GCSE and Functional Skills English Teacher
Location - Barrow in Furness
Start - November 2024
Pay rate - £25 - £35 an hour
Hours - Part-time, approx 28 hours per week
Contract type - Temp & Permanent
This College, situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park, is the largest further education college in Cumbria. It offers a wide range of courses, with a strong focus on technical education, apprenticeships, and Higher Education. They have established strong relationships with local employers and universities, making this College a dynamic, innovative, and fast-paced environment.
Maths Teacher
They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to deliver both GCSE and Functional Skills English, helping students achieve their English qualifications as part of their study programs. Many of our students are retaking their GCSEs after not achieving the required grades, so we need a motivated tutor who can employ diverse teaching methods to engage and support their learning.
Responsibilities:
* Teaching Functional Skills English
* Teaching maths to students aged 16+
* Planning, Prep and marking
Role requirements
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS etc.)
* Experience teaching Functional Skills English
