About the Role: As a Primary Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping students thrive. Your days will be varied as you assist in fostering a positive learning environment, offering one-on-one and group support to help each child develop their skills and confidence. You'll work closely with a dedicated team that’s focused on creating inclusive, engaging experiences for all students.
About the School: We work with Primary Schools across Hull, however we currently have a number of openings at one of our partner schools in West Hull. This particular school is committed to nurturing each child’s potential through an engaging curriculum designed to spark curiosity and independence. The school’s ethos centres around inclusivity, ensuring every learner feels supported and encouraged to achieve their best.
Requirements: The ideal candidate for this role will:
Have recent experience working with children aged 5-11, ideally within a school, nursery, or childcare setting
Understand how children learn and grow, and be excited to help them on their educational journey
Be comfortable working as part of a dedicated team, bringing a positive, can-do attitude every day
Share our commitment to inclusivity and helping every child succeed
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Must have the Right to Work in the UK
A minimum of six months of experience working in an educational or child-focused setting (including volunteering and placements)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education
Please note that safeguarding and child protection are essential aspects of this role. Successful applicants will need to complete all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
