Assistant QS | nr Barking, Essex
Temporary | 2/3 months initially but it may turn into a permanent position.

The company is a main contractor that specialises in Commercial, Education, Residential and Heritage work across London and the surrounding areas. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Assistant level) to support a Quantity Surveyor for a period of 2/3 months, with the possibility of permanent position thereafter.

Cost Management | Cost plans | Tendering & Procurement | Contract Administration | Measurement & Valuations | Reporting & Documentation | Collaboration & Coordination
Skills and Competencies:
•Strong numerical and analytical skills.
•Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
•Effective communication and negotiation skills.
•Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
•Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, project management tools, cost estimation software).
•Understanding of construction processes and methods.
Qualifications and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or working towards one).
•Previous work experience or internship in a similar role is advantageous.
•Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
